Why this page is not a contributor list

This address previously carried a list of named contributors with job titles, biographies and areas of expertise. Those names could not be verified against any public record when this publication was rebuilt, and a byline that cannot be verified is worth less than no byline at all. The profiles have been withdrawn and every personal attribution has been removed from every article on this site.

What is left is what was always true: the work is produced collectively and the publication, not a person, stands behind it.

Who is responsible for what is published

Digital Pulse Magazine is published by Northbank Media. Editorial responsibility sits with the publication. If an article is wrong, the publication is wrong, and the correction is published under the publication's name.

Enquiries about a specific article, including corrections and factual disputes, go to the editorial address on the contact page.

How an article is produced

A piece begins with a question that a practitioner would actually ask, not with a keyword. Drafting is done against primary sources wherever a claim is checkable: the documentation of the system being described, the specification, the guidance from the body that issues it. A second reader checks every factual claim, every figure and every definition before publication.

Where a claim cannot be checked, the article says what is known, says what is not, and does not fill the gap with a number.

Where a piece was recovered from an earlier version of this site, the recovered text is preserved. It is not silently rewritten to suit a later editorial position.

What this publication will not do

It does not rank agencies, suppliers or tools, because it has not audited them and a ranking without an audit is an opinion wearing a number.

It does not sell editorial coverage, does not publish paid articles as though they were editorial, and does not sell links.

It does not invent statistics, studies, case studies or named sources. Where a figure appears, it came from somewhere, and the article says where.

It does not remove accurate material because somebody named in it would prefer it gone.

Links to standards bodies, documentation and primary sources are cited for their public character. Where an article links to a commercial company, a disclosure block at the foot of that article says so, states that the link is editorial and was never sold, and states that this publication has not assessed that company's work. Articles with no commercial link say that too.

Corrections

Errors are corrected as soon as they are established, with a visible note on the article saying what changed and when. Write to the editorial address with the article and the correction you are proposing.

Every page on this site carries a last reviewed date. That date moves when the page is actually reviewed, not when the site is rebuilt.
